It was great to kick off 2012 with one of my first weddings of the year at St Audries Park in Somerset. The last time I was there was Autumn, and the venue looks very good in Winter as well, with a great selection areas to choose from I was spoilt for choice!

I was lucky enough to take a week off work and go and visit some friends in Florida last week, we took a trip to the Bahamas where I had the chance to photograph them on the beach, even when i go on holiay i still work!

There are two wedding venues at Priston Mill, The Tythe Barn and The Mill itself. Both venues have great picturesque areas for wedding photography both in Winter and Summer.

Glen Yr Afon Hotel, Usk

Had a marvellous day in Wales on Saturday for a church wedding that took place in St Marks Church in Newport , with the reception at the Glen-Yr-Afon House Hotel in picturesque Usk . It threatened to rain, but luckily we managed to avoid most of it and create some great wedding images.

is a relatively new wedding venue , and this was my first visit, both the house and the grounds are superb with many opportunities to create great wedding images. I have a number of bookings there next year and cant wait to go back and see how different it looks in the summer.

Its hard not to create great wedding images at Rookery Manor as everything is perfectly set up with wedding photography in mind. I try to vary the shots I do at each wedding to create a bespoke set of images of your special day!
In the winter months it gets dark early, but thats an opportunity to get my video light and work on some exciting night portraits shown in the example below.

It was a challenging Autumn day weather wise at St Audries Park in Somerset, but with such spectacular surroundings the images are always fantastic and its always a joy to work there.
